Review/Description: This is an investigation of Banat settlement by residents of Alsace and Lorraine between 1764 and 1772. These people established several villages and contributed substantial numbers to several more. Among them were St. Hubert, Charleville, Seultour, Triebsvetter , Ostern, Gottlob, Heufeld, Mastort, Grabatz, and Hatzfeld. The report discusses the reasons for migration and the settlement and development of the villages. It contains lists of family names of the migrants and the villages from which they came. This is a very good source if you trace your roots to this group.
